Your friend could go online to www.sacbee.com and check out their rental ads. The Sacramento Bee is the big newspaper for Sacramento, so they should have plenty of listings for rentals.

...and go to the nearest YMCA...they'll let you stay for very little $$. You'll have meals and a community phone to take messages on. I'm assuming you have some $$...?
